RE: 325i instrumentation panel

It sounds like you're on board SI batteries are dying. They can be replaced
by pulling the instrument cluster, take out the SI board, desolder the old
batts, and solder the new ones in.

Subject: 325i instrumentation panel

Hello

I have a 1992 325i - the car's instrumentation panel (ie: speedometer,
tachometer) works only intermitently. Most of the time the gauges dont work
- - ie: the needles are flat, as if the entire panel has been disconnected.
Occaisionally, they kick in and work properly. Doesn't appear to be a
pattern. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this problem. ?

thanks carl
