Re: E36 central locking

Sorry about that, I realized that after I hit "send". I was thinking about 
a Mercedes 201 I used to own; I was working on the central locking system, 
had disconnected the central vacuum, and slammed the door in lock mode. Doh!

I do have a 96 E36, which is even more of a mess when it comes to security.

I do know that if you have a driver's license, pink slip 
(title/registration), VIN and US$40, your dealer can express order you a 
new key in two days, at least here in the US.
