Airbag light E34 1995

After the fiasco the other week the problem is gone but the
Airbag light comes on at start up.
Blinks off after 6 seconds then comes back on for 5 mins.
this is the standard indication to record that
the fault is gone but the on board computer
has a fault logged.
Can this be zeroed in a similar way to the service
lights or is it a agents MODIC job?
