E34 Airbag light - Imobilised!

Ok gurus heres 1 4 U.
The Airbag light came on steady while driving 1995 E34
UK 518 touring.

After the next stop 10-15 mins later
the enigine was imobilised when restart attempted
All sorts of checks to discount the alarm and key chip.

Checked fuse F47 Airbag under rear seat ... intact.
Still steady light. No starter.

Bridged power TO the airbag fuse from adjacent.
Engine starts airbag light goes out after a short time.

Dont fancy driving with airbag cheated.
Bridge to start and then remove bridge.
Drive about 15 mins and the Airbag light goes out.

On arival home and switch off.
Car will restart as often as I like now.
But the Airbag light comes on for about 5 seconds
Blinks off and then comes on steady once more.
Car will still start OK now though?

Initialy thought power feed relay to the airbag
circuit (can hear a click from airbag unit under
rear seat when powering up).
But now confused as fault apears a little
different to when it first apeared.

Which relay to check for feed to
airbag curcuit?

I have another E34 that I can swap bits
to see if the fault moves but which ones to
start with?
What special precuations with airbag trigger?
Dont fancy gettin blown out of the tailgate!
Confused of Manchester.
