I'm not so sure that this is the problem relative to this
particular issue.  My reluctance to go to the dealer is only
measured by how much markup they have relative to some other
source for the same part.

In the case of wiper blade inserts, the $11 -$12 that Bavarian
charges for a SINGLE piece of rubber, of which two are required,
is ridiculous for something that typically costs ~$5/pair at
the local car parts store.  If only they fit, of course.  I have
never queried the dealer on this part, but if they are cheaper
than Bavarian, I'd be surprised, but would welcome that
information.

I have to find my own solution soon, also, and I remain very
reluctant to pay over $20 for a pair of rubber inserts that
will be worn out in a few months.
