hi gregory
your location is correct... a bit of clarification...  pull out the left front
speaker and pull down the carpet so you can see the metal kick panel.  there
will be two philips head screws visible.  take those out along with the left
front speaker.  you'll then be able to remove the metal bracket from below the
speaker that holds the central locking unit  as well as the light timer.  hope
that helps.
