Re: oil consumption in M5



The new thinking on "Break in" is not so gentle.......
However, since you are in it now.......
Pull the head,  tear down , to examine the valve guide seals/guides
and then if that is not the problem.......then it must be the rings,
and they did not seat properly because the "break in" was too gentle.

This happens..........Sometimes the hard driving by the car lot boys
is the best break in.........

I would be interested to hear from others on the list about this.......
