re: Freedom of Modification / was Cold Air Intake

re: Freedom of Modification:
We see a lot of tech ideas presented here on the digests. Some we
like, some we don't. Some we even decide are worth giving a chance.

There are over ten, and the list is growing, who have written me
for info on the "Home Depot" air intake mod.

Should one digester have the right to seek to deprive all the other
digesters from making up their own minds what they think about my, or
anyone else's mod that might cost 5% as much but be 80% or more as
effective of the big buck products the tuners offer?

I believe, as freely as anyone else on the digest is free not to
believe, that if I place a number of cars on the same dyno, all within a
few hours of time, within a few degrees of ambient air temperature, and
a few percent of relative humidify, that within a reasonable tolerance
it will be meaningful comparison of power output between the group of
cars.

If you don't like what I write about, feel free to take what you
like and leave the rest.
Even better, tell us your inventive tech ideas.
To declare simple invalidations of another digesters posting, follows an
adage I believe in strongly.
That is, if you if you need to try to say bad bout anyone else's
ideas, then you probably have a lot to hide about yourself.
Happy Motoring,
