RE: OK. Now cylinder head bolt question...

Everything I've ever read says DO NOT reuse the old head bolts. They only
'stretch' properly one time (whatever that means) They are cheap. Use new
ones. That's what I would do.

Subject: OK. Now cylinder head bolt question...

On my ongoing saga of the broken rocker arm, my repair
shop was unable to get cylinder head bolts wihtout a
4-day wait. Together we decided, what the hell, put
it together with the old bolts. I'll take it home
carefully, and ask the collective wisdom how critical
it is to replace them.

When my repair shop asked the dealer, the dealer said
basically, some replace and some don't replace head
bolts.

Your thoughts? Any first or second-person horror
stories? (No third-person accepted, as they rank up
there with choking dobermans!)
