Over the weekend, my wife dropped her ring inside the passenger seat of my
99 M3. Without success spent 1 hr trying to fish it out. Finally decide to
remove the seat and let gravity get the ring out. This worked and removing
the set was relatively easy. Mine has manual control so I had a detach just
a few connectors to separate the seat from the car (no to mention the four
bolts holding the seat). Getting the ring out took less than a minute and
realizing how dirty under the seat was, I decided to remove the driver seat
and clean the car. Half way through the cleaning project, I had to go to
the store. I did this without the passenger seat being installed. Noticed
that the airbag light was on. I thought that this is because of lack of
passenger seat. However after putting the passenger seat the light stays
on. When I turn off/on the car, I notice the light goes off for about a
second or two and comes back on and stays on until the car is turned off...
Was wondering if there is something that I have to reset or is this a dealer
thing...
Thanks,
David
