E36 325i owners--would you check sunroof please?

In working on my sunroof in my '92 325i, I broke the wind deflector and
can't say for certain how it goes back on. Would you mind looking at
yours with the top tilted open and tell me how that black plastic piece
in the rear is placed?

Is the 'apex' of the gentle curve in it facing backwards? Do you see
small 'ridges' in it or is it perfectly smooth?

BTW, if any of your sunroofs open but don't tilt, there's a solution
many dollars short of replacing the whole canister ($600 parts
alone)--mine will tilt for about $100 and a total of 3 hours or so...and
if I can do it...<grin>

Many thanks for having a look for me!

Doug
