E30 DME update

As an update, looks like used DME's are rather easily available for
around $275 ( I am going ahead and installing a Dinan chip since it was
so cheap.

On a side note though, it looks like I need a new clutch.  Sachs seems
to be the OEM choice for just over $200 in parts.  Does anyone recommend
differently for a little more aggressive driving?

My 87 325es is in the shop due to poor running conditions, and it looks
like the problem is the DME.

Can anyone advise for or against the $1,300 dealer price vs half price
or less for used?  Also, is it worth tracking down a performance chip at
this time as well, or does it make a difference?
