540/6 Newby...Boston area...

Hi folks, I wanted to introduce myself officially, I just took
possession of my '98 E39/540-6gear. MAN, I'm in love....I'm looking
forward to many years of BMW ownership (crossing fingers)...

I have a couple of questions...

I'd like to perform a "reset"  re: the fluids. I'm a fan of synthetics,
where do I go, what do I buy? 

What does the 30k service consist of? 

Can anybody recommend a local shop/dealer who's worth their labor rate
in the Boston/North Shore area?
