re: 88 325iS starting problems

George,
There was a service campaign for customers who complained about long
cranking to start under certain conditions. It included a different
chip and injectors, and produced a slight gain in engine performance.
If your car has not had it done, you might want to look into that.
Secondly, since no one else has touched on it yet, the adaptive
parameters in your ECU might have lost touch with reality as to what
your engine really wants its injection to do for it to run right. So
try disconnecting the battery. That will reset the adaptive parameters
to the initial default settings. Then see how your car behaves after
another 100 miles.
I hope this helps,
Barry
