fuel smell on 92 325is

Hi to all.

I just got a 92' 325 IS, apparently in very good condition. However, some
times shortly after starting there is a noticeable fuel smell, which in
a fe minutes goes away. I believe it tends to happen after the car has been
parked oustide, with cold temperatures. Is this normal?

I once read that there was a recall of this model (92' E36 325 IS) regarding
the fuel lines. Could this be the problem? If so, will it be expensive to
fix? Will BMW fix it for free since it was subjected to a recall?

Thanks.
