E34 Cutting out

My 92 525i is cutting out while driving.  Seems to happen after it's
warm and almost always fails to restart when I turn it off.
When it cuts out it's throwing the "Check Engine" light and Trans
Program message.

I have replaced the Idle Control Valve hoping to fix the problem however
it hasn't. 

I'm thinking it's the Fuel Pump or ECU.  Fuel Pump is original - 10
years old.

Any suggestions?
