The 2002 ingnition circuit has two +12V feed wires. One is energized only
when the starter is being cranked, the other is energized all the time the
key is in the "fahrt" or "start" position. There is usually also a relay
that bypasses the coil ballast resistor when cranking - is that present?
Either way, find the (green I think) wire that has power all the time when
the key is in the "fahrt" position - that is the one you want connected to
the coil + terminal (perhaps in series with the ballast resistor if you
have one).
