RE: E34 Computer Light

John,

I would suppose ther is a backlight but believe those are LED's.  Maybe a
short.  My backlight on the LCD display went out this week.  Now, I know
that is common, but I changed it 4 years ago.  I've drven the car almost 80K
miles since then.  If I average around 60/mph, I've been driving for 1333
hours since I replaced that light.  I have not had any issues with the back
light in the radion, it is perfect.  Are those lights suppose to have a mtbf
of around 1300 hours or so?

The illumination behind the buttons on the computer in my '95 E34 has
stopped working. If anyone has any experience with this phenomenon, I'd love
