E36 - sunroof switch

1993 E36 325 coupe

Two questions:

1.    Does anybody else have an intermittent sunroof operation.  Some days the
sunroof will open and close, some days it wont.  I am a bit baffled, sometimes
with will work if I hit the switch a few times, sometimes it will work if I
remove and replace the fuse.  Obviously coincidence here......

2.    Is it possible to put a window winder switch in place of the sunroof
switch so I only have to push it once ?
