e36 Brakes

Hi Guys
I'm about to replace the front brake pads of my '92 320 e36. Anything
in particular I should look out for (I haven't done this before -
although I have the Hayns to guide me). Another thing, I've been told
that it's not necessary to replace the wear sensors but I'm worried
because the warning light didn't come on although the pads are badly
worn. So much so that I have to have the brake disks skimmed
(machined).
