I just joined the list today.
Here are the stats:
I drive a 1991 325ix. It has 145,000 miles. I bought it used in 1995 when it
was 62,500 miles young.
I put on it 17" BBS with Pirelli P7000 M+S 215/40/17.
I am from the North East so I drive the car year round in the Sun, Rain or
Snow utilizing fully it 4x4 capability. I drive the car hard but do not go
on the track.
and here is the obligatory question:
In the last four trips to the dealer I have been complaining that the car is
loose. They checked and rechecked the front end. I stopped complaining
because my tires were worn to the bars and I did not want to make a scene,
just in case it is the tires. Well, I just put four new Pirelli P7000 and
the car is loose.
Now, the dealer says that after a test ride they agree that the car is
loose. They checked the front end and said that it is tight. They then
checked the rear and found the rubber bushings to be worn. So do you agree
that a worn rear rubber bushings will make the car not as tight as it used
to be?
