Re: cats clogged etc



I had an old range rover...87, and the cats clogged up... its a delicate 
honeycomb structure.... and it that old set up had 3 cats... so one up front 
failed, shook around, and cluttered up the rear one.  (of course it was a 
single cat that went to a Y shaped pipe that then split to a cat on each 
side, then on to the cyclinder bank)


When the rear cat clogged up, back pressure blew out the header gaskets and 
created weird noises, bad back pressure problems, and clearly, the engine 
wasn't making much power...

for what its worth, nothing got sucked into the engine!
