RE: e36 Brakes



I would try taking the wheels, calipers, and the retaining screw out, then
spray some penetrating oil around the center hole, and into each of the lug
holes. Let it soak for an hour or so, then try the rubber mallet again. I
don't think you want to whack it with too big a hammer since you may end up
damaging some other part of the suspension or wheel bearings.

If that doesn't work, you can probably rent a puller from a tool store, or
if you are like me, use the opportunity as justification (an excuse) to add
a new tool to my collection :)
