e36 Brakes

Last night I attempted to change the brakes and rotors on my 96' 328i.
after removing the rotor retaining screw and the caliper, I was still unable
to remove the rotor. seems to be fused on to the hub.  Is there some sort of
puller that I should use to get it off or do I just need a bigger hammer.
