E28 535is Control Arms (upper)

I recently purchased much needed 750 bushings for the
control arms for my 535is.  I know that these are
wider than the originals.  I would like to machine the
bushings ahead of removing the original arms.  So,
does anyone know how much material needs to be removed
from the outer metal bushing and the inner metal
bushing where the bolt rides.  Also, what is the best
way to do this?
