I've never tried them, but my next choice is going to be Porterfield R4S
pads. 800-537-6842 (you get a discount as a member of the E36M3 digest).
I've had quite a few M3 fanatics say they like them, and they seem well
priced.

Let me know what you go with and how you like them. Also look at the
unofficialbmw.com they have a lot of info on brakes.
