Visiting Germany

I have the opportunity to visit Germany on business this July, and will be 
spending a few days in Munich.  I was wondering if anyone had visited the 
factory, and could tell me if it was worthwile, and how it was arranged.  Any 
suggestions on renting a car?   We'll fly in and out of Frankfurt.
