Light Bulbs

One of the small light bulbs burned out behind the A/C panel of my '86 735i.
I pulled the whole thing apart, and got out the light bulb. I noted that
it was a .6 watt 12 volt light bulb. SO I went over to the dealer, and
asked for a replacement. There, I found out that they no longer sold .6
watt bulbs, but only 1.2 watt bulbs, which were meant to be the
replacements. I bought the $1 bulb and put it in my dash, and to my
surprise, yeh right, it was brighter than all the ther ones...twice as
bright. Great. Now I have the A/C selector switch brighter than everything
else, and, loving the car the way I do, want to make everything the way it's
supposed to be, right? Does anyone know of some .6 watt bulbs I could get
for the replacements? Maybe I could get about 10 of them and put in all of
them, but that seems crazy. Could I hook up a resistor to lessen the
current going to the bulb?
Why can't they just keep making .6 watt bulbs???; it would make life so much
easier.
