Transmission harmonic and sun roof probs

Here's a weird one from an obsessive owner of a '92 325i...me!

After probably having let my transmission and diff fluid go too long
without changing, I did have the dealer replace it recently.  Since
then, I'm hearing a very subtle 'harmonic' coming when I let off on the
gas and when I'm around 3000 rpm's.  It's a slight hum which I'd never
noticed before.

Anyone want to guess whether this is just the trans or diff getting used
to thinner (new) fluid and I've got to let it 'settle' into a new
groove, or whether, perhaps, they didn't fill one or the other fluids up
all the way?

Also, I just discovered that my sunroof doesn't 'pop up' anymore.  It
opens and closes fully with no problem, but when I do the pop up facing
the rear, it doesn't elevate in the back...although it does move back on
the inside panel. Hard to explain, but if you have this mechanism it's
probably close enough a description.

Anything I can do myself if I'm reasonably handy, or do I not want to
mess with it?
