Re: bmw-digest V9 #1747

They probably don't say because it is very simple. Just tear it off and
stick the new one on. No adhesive, it's friction-fit to the body. Make sure
you join the two ends in the middle between the tail lights.

I have both manuals, and I compare procedures between the two. Usually the
Bentley is better and more complete, but in at least one instance (removing
a front door) the Bently was flat-out wrong and the Haynes was right. Bently
said to open up the cover panel and disconnect the wiring inside the door,
Haynes said to unplug the big plug going into the body. About an hour's
difference and much agony between the two.

Subject: E30 weatherstrip remove/replace

Does anyone know the procedure for removing and replacing the trunk
weatherstripping for the e30 body. Is it in the Bentley manual? I've been
using the Haynes I bought with my 88'(R.I.P).
How much more is the Bentley preferred over the Haynes?
