<E30> Overheating

Hello,

I have a 1991 325ic that is 3/4 of the way on the temp gauge.  I've had everything
chnaged except the radiator.  After doing some testing it was determined that the radiator 
was only about 80% effective.  Will a problem like this allow the car to go 3/4 of the way and stop there?
I've had fan clutch replaced and a belt too.  The only thing the mechanic could
determine was the radiator issue.  Should I repair it?
