RE: Daily driver
Actually Alex is right.. I have a 94 e36 and have driven a lot of e46 323
and 328, and i found them to be a little on the slow side....you may find
that the e36 drives more like a bimmer... I don't think the car is worth
preserving... use it everyday and enjoy it...

Seriously, E46 323 is hardly a car you would want to 'preserve' for weekend
drives or anything else for that matter. Getting any E36 (325/328/M3) for a
'daily driver' while an E46 323 is depreciating in the garage makes as much
sense as buying a 360 because you can't stomach putting miles on your M3.
FWIW, we test drove E46 323 and 328 in '99 thinking of getting one for my
better half before turning around and picking up a barely used E36 328.
Yeah, I guess that makes me a bit biased ;-)
