Rod,
Stay away from rural TX. Possible rural areas in other states. 
Most police departments have upgraded to at least K radar, but out in the
boonies it's a 50-50 tossup between X and K.

The only place I was ever flashed with laser was in Fort Worth (TX). There
it's 50-50 chance of getting lit up with either Ka or Laser.
