Failed Battery Info

Hey Everyone,

Some comments on the topic of dead batteries.

I used to have the routine of waiting 'till the battery fails before
replacing them.  But the last two times this happened I had to rebuild
the alternator.  A good mechanic friend told me that modern alternators
can not tolerate recharging a dead battery without failing.

My new policy is replace the battery every four (4) years.  Cheaper that
way and piece of mind is worth it.
