RE: Brake Light Switch and a new question about an E36 325iC

Isn't this a factory recall? It's most likely just a faulty brake switch....
(Got this same damn problem myself.)

Since I'm writing, I might as well make this one email and ask my other
question now.

My passenger door is occassionally not closing. The worst was two nights ago
when I had to have my girlfriend ride home with me actually holding the door
closed (turns were fun). It seems that there's two issues here: 1) The latch
just didn't seem to be catching. The door felt like it was going far enough
in to latch, but nothing happened..... 2) The window is being pushed up too
far whether it's open or closed. When it's closed it's only happening in the
front of the window (the front is about 1/2 of an inch above the
track/guide/rail whereas the back is where it's supposed, but when it's open
it's both sides that are too high. I don't remember if the door is dropping
down when I lift up the handle to open the door, but it definitely makes a
loud pop and pushes the door out.

Anybody have any ideas on what this could be? Possibly a bad door switch (I
didn't specifically check if the lights come on if I open the door, but I
think they do)?

Please let me know... all suggestions welcome!
