More wagons! '95 E34 purchase/cool link

Well, in an effort to get to the bottom of the issue of whether the wagon in
question is a '94 or '95, I posed the questions about the same-colored front
cowl and rocker panels to the seller. He didn't respond directly to my
questions about the body, but said that the year is part of the VIN and that
this was proof that it is indeed a '95. Does this sound plausible?
