E30 radio swap - fit?

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if a stock CD player from a modern 3-series will fit 
the cut-out, braces and wire harness in a classic 3-series (E30)? 

I'm looking for a quick and inexpensive replacement/upgrade for my '87 
325iC.
