Sir
On most BMW's with temp-time switches and cold start valves, the starter
solenoid energizes the cold start valve, and only for a few seconds during
engine cranking.
A stuck cold start valve after the starter is turned off could occur, but
I've never seen it.
Most newer BMW's have the cold-run built-into the software, and have no
cold-start valve per se.
