E30 M3 brakes in non-M3 E30

Currently I'm piloting the underappreciated E30 318is and nearing an upgrade
cycle.
Has anyone out there retro'd E30 M3 brakes onto a non-M3 E30? Are there
alternatives? I admit that I can't fault the brakes on track - with
reasonable pad condition they're very more than adequate. Perhaps I'm
dreaming.
