RE: ABS E24

Wolf,
One of your ABS wheel sensors is not performing well. If you were to scope
each pickup you will find the culprit.
I would think one of the ABS hub rings is dirty.
As your speed approaches 160kph the ABS sensor signal diminishes, the ABS
control can no longer detect the signal and that causes the ABS fault.
Cheers,
Rod...

The ABS light on the dash would go on now and then when driving over rough
road surfaces.
I've just replaced the two front ABS sensors as one of these was damaged.
The rear sensors were cleaned as there was no apparent damage.
Now this ABS light goes on and stays on after hitting 160kph (100mph).
When you switch on the engine again the light is off and of course goes on
at 160kph!
The local BMW garage is baffled.
Maybe someone on the digest could help?
Thanks and best regards,
Wolf
