WR9LS vs W8LCR (E28)

I was wondering if someone can advise me on whether I should be concerned
about this.  I had an Inspection II done on my 85 535i last week and they
substituted the W8LCR plugs for the WR9LS.  When I asked about this, they
claimed that they have switched over to these plugs quite a few years ago
and that the 9LS were no longer stocked.  They claim that this is done at
the dealers as well.  My question is is this true?  Last year at my shop in
Berkeley, they used the 9LS plugs.  I have since ordered some from a
mail-order place.  My second question, should I be concerned?  Thanks in
