<e30> Idle Problems: ICV/O2/TempSensor

There have been numerous posts in recent months regarding idling problems. I
suffered though this as well. My mechanic replaced my ICV and it seemed to help
in cold conditions, but not completely. On hot days it continued. I drove
straight to another mechanic who tested the O2, and then placed the electronic
"diagnostic" device (on where I think the reset tool goes). It reported that
the temperature sensor was not working, which was not true. It seemed to
suggest to the engine's computer controls that the temperature was far different
from what it actually was and was telling the idle to operate at a much higher
level. Anyway, my mechanic sprayed the contacts on the temp sensor, which is
now allowing it to be read properly, and ALL IS WELL!!
