If you bought the car new-the problem should have been noted and addressed at 
the time of purchase. If you accepted the car with the smell in it then BMW 
cannot be held responsible for the problem. A smell is not something that can 
be blamed, back to BMW, on a car which is four years of age. I do not believe 
you can blame BMW for a bad smell in a four year old car.
