Buying a used M3, and Bilstien Shocks

I have two questions:

First, is there any information on the web about what to look for when 
buying a used M3 that includes common problems and things to watch out for?

Second, I need to buy new shocks for my 1987 325is.  What is the cheapest 
place to buy Bilstiens?
