Jim....
You don't mention your driving style,or wether your car is a
manual or auto,but At a guess,if you're on this digest,you have a 5 spd,and
drive fairly hard at times.
The benchmark for excellent handling at a decent price was set
by Bridgestone,with it's RE730 tire.Since,Dunlop has introduced the
SP5000,FAR better than the SP4000 it replaces, and a bit better in bad
weather than the Bridgestone(noticed you're in Ohio;snow, etc.),with equal
handling.Yokohama chimed in this year with the new AVS dB "decibel",an all
season handler, and a quiet, excellent tire on a par with the Dunlop and
Bridgestone. Michelin/Continental,etc., really haven't caught up yet in this
price range.
If you want the max in handling on a 528i with wet weather
traction thrown in,my advice is the S-02 Pole Position hands down.No
contest.
