e34 electrical (stereo) ?

When I turn the headlights off on my car it interupts the power to the new
car stereo, shutting it down (I can toggle the 'on' button to re-power..)
?? Can anyone offer suggestions ?
Stereo is wired with power, acc power, dimmer, pwr ant, & ground leads
along with usual speaker connections...........
