Michael;
Since you're willing to cover a little ground to find a decent
E28,one of the best ways is to use a Phila. zip code with Auto Trader,and
using their 200mi. radius option,you will cover NYC area to south of
D.C.Then using the phone or e-mail, you can narrow the options to the few
cars that fit your personal outline to look at.This worked well for a friend
of mine in Silver Spring,Md.We ended up with a handful of very nice 535i's
from southern Conn.,NYC,Phila.,Harrisburg,and VA./Md./D.C. area.
One owner,68,000mi, '87 535is white/blue for $6500 in like new
shape from Philly took the prize. My old Phila. zip of 19118 will do for a
starting point.You can also find decent 528e/535i's for $3000/4500 easily
that way.
