	I've seen this advice given enough times on several different car
care sites to believe it.

	 One site even suggests you polish horizontal surfaces with a
horizontal back & forth motion and vertical surfaces with a vertical back
and forth motion.  Apparently this has something to do with the light
reflecting differently off the horizontal/vertical surfaces and making the
car look even better after you've polished it.
