driving woes

On a recent business trip to middle-of-nowhere
Illinois, I got a speeding ticket.  I'm hoping
that paying the ticket will clear me with the
state of Illinois and not show up on my currently
clean driving record in Texas.  Does anyone know
if states coordindate with each other in sharing
information regarding traffic violations?  My
insurance company frowns on even a single moving
violation, so I'd like to avoid that if at all
possible.
