Where's a good source for A/C compressor conversion.

I need to replace my compressor, where do you guys get
your Sanden  compressor convesion kits from? How much
do they run for?
Should I still run R12 or convert over to 134a after
the compressor is installed. 
I will do the install, but my family mechanic will
charge it for me.
